Usage

In 2001, Dr. Hauschka's international search for organic, high quality, shea butter. This soft vegetable butter, extracted from the nuts and seeds of the shea tree, is a very popular and versatile ingredient in skin care. Because of its moisture-retaining properties, but also because it is very skin-friendly, even for the most sensitive skin.

20 years ago, the team of Dr. Hauschka did not find shea butter that met the brand's strict requirements, but it did discover a women's community in the Diarabakoko region. This group of more than 4,000 women, spread over 21 villages, harvests the shea nuts in a traditional way (by hand) and also processes them on site. This provides maximum yield for the local population. The close, reliable collaboration with Dr. Hauschka guarantees a stable income so that the children go to school and contributes to better hygiene (drinking water!) and health care.
