Healthy Baking is useful for healthy sweet-toothed or savory baking enthusiasts who still like to fit into their clothes, even after a delicious cake or homemade bread. Bearing in mind that not everyone has hours to spend in the kitchen. Many recipes are made in a jiffy.
The book is full of both sweet and savory baking recipes that only use nutritious ingredients and the balance in the recipes is carefully guarded. No blood sugar peaks or crashes, but carefully added good fats and proteins for an even distribution of energy. Enjoy delicious chocolate chip cookies, a festive chocolate cake or fudge cake, carrot cupcakes or strawberry scones. Of course all without sugar, wheat or cow's milk and almost without gluten.
A few of our favourites : Carrot Cupcakes (without the topping), Roasted Apple Muffins, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Irish Spelled Bread (really easy & quick). Coconut blossom sugar in the recipes can usually also be replaced by a few extra dates.
Amber organized the Millionaires Fair in Belgium in the past. During a well-deserved sabbatical, she fell ill while traveling in Argentina. After living on sugar, stress and bad (wrong) food for far too long - and now with a chronic energy shortage.
