OMSCHRIJVING
Honey soap is made with cold-rolled pure heather honey, beeswax and propolis. These come directly from beekeeping Het Honingmagazijn. The bee colonies of this apiary collect the nectar in the Veluwe heathland, the Haelberg. The beeswax is super pure and smells heavenly of honey and amber. The propolis is ground and then macerated in olive oil.
The beautiful amber-coloured heather honey gives the soap its soft foaming properties and beautiful colour. And the sweet-spicy honey scent is carried by essential oils of sage, lavender and rosemary, which are loved by bees. in the photos sage and rosemary.
Rosemary (Rosemarinus officinalis)
Rosemary, called 'sea dew' in Latin (rosmarinus), has an anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect, including rosmarinic acid. Partly due to camphor, it has a muscle-relaxing effect and improves skin blood flow. As a result, it can help with rheumatic pains, bruises and tired muscles. In addition, it stimulates hair growth and helps against dandruff. The essential oil has a stimulating effect and increases concentration.
Werfzeep's rosemary essential oil is obtained via steam distillation from the flowering tops of the plant and is organic and food grade certified by the Soil Association. The oil comes from Spain.
Sage (Salvia officinalis L.)
Real sage is an incredibly powerful, beneficial plant. Sage essential oil is mildly antiseptic, antibacterial and antifungal. It works wound healing, astringent and anti-inflammatory due to the tannins (salvia tannin) and ketones. In addition, it inhibits an excess of sebum secretion. Sage is therefore a very nice herb for wounds, insect bites, eczema, acne and oily skin.
Werfzeep's essential sage oil is obtained by steam distillation of the leaves of the sage. The sage is certified organic (The Soil Association) grown in England and is of food grade quality.
The name 'salvia' comes from salvare (to save), salvere (to cure) or salvia (healing plant/beneficial herb), so it is clear that it has been known as a special plant for centuries. In the 12th century it was even claimed that real sage in the garden had eternal life. Tea from real sage can help with tooth and throat inflammation (gargling), it also helps with all kinds of women's ailments because it helps with hormonal balance through phytoestrogens.
