OMSCHRIJVING
Blossom soap is a soft, fresh sweet soap with a nice light foam and a real blossom scent that is not too sharp. If you like the scent of flowers but don't like heavy perfumes, this soap is perfect.
Every spring, Werfzeep carefully picks blossoms from its own almond trees and the wild cherry trees in the forest. The incredibly delicious, slightly spicy floral scent is captured in oil by macerating (soaked in the oil to release the scent). Together with essential oils of neroli (orange blossom), bergamot and supporting scents such as petitgrain and lavender, the subtle fresh blossom scent of this soap is created.
Organic & handmade - vegan - free from palm oil, plastics or chemicals such as SLS - not tested on animals

Almond (Prunus dulci)
The almond tree provides several valuable ingredients: the oil pressed from the fruits, leaf and blossoms. Cold-pressed sweet almond oil has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, so it can help with psoriasis, eczema, skin inflammations, scaly conditions and burns. It contains a lot of vitamin E, which makes it soothing and very suitable for nourishing and caring for dry or sensitive skin. The blossom has a sweet, delicate, almost marzipan-like scent.
Werfzeep's almond oil is cold pressed, food grade - you can eat this - and certified organic by Agriculture Biologique (AB).
Wild cherry blossom (Prunus avium)
From the moment that the Werfzeep team smelled the wild cherry blossoms for the first time in the early spring in the Wickenburgh forest - below Utrecht - they are processed in the blossom soap.
Cherry blossoms contain several antioxidants, including quercetin and glucoside. Both science and the cosmetic industry are very interested in these substances: they have anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and 'capture' free radicals that cause damage to cells in the body and skin. The valuable substances in cherry blossoms are released when they are processed in an oil or vinegar extract (the latter method is mainly used in Japan).
Wild cherry, also known as boskers, kriek or sweet cherry, occurs naturally in the Netherlands and is the 'ancestor' of all cultivated cherries. The trees bloom profusely from mid-April with their delicate, white, five-petaled flowers.
Cherry blossoms are not only the ultimate announcement of spring in our country: in Japan they have symbolized the changing of the seasons for centuries. With their delicate, transient beauty, the blossoms are the ultimate symbol of nature's ever-changing nature.
