Brandt candles are pure, handmade candles made of soy wax, lead-free cotton wick and scented with pure extracts of plants and flowers. Made in Utrecht. Inspired by the years founder Giselle learned the craft of candle making in New York City. The style of the candles goes with everything; from a sleek design house to a romantic wedding.

How pure are Brandt candles?
Pure! The candles are made from sustainably produced soy wax. Remains of the beans are processed as animal feed. No pesticides or herbicides are used during cultivation. The beans are not genetically modified and 100% biodegradable. No harmful (soot) substances are released when soy wax is burned. Soy wax candles burn 30-45% faster than paraffin (petroleum product) candles.

The scent of Brandt candles comes from pure - non-harmful - plant, flower and herbal extracts of the best quality. Specially made for Brandt in Europe. Soy wax candles burn 30-45% longer than paraffin candles.

The wick of the candles is made of natural cotton and flat threads, interwoven with paper threads. 100% lead and zinc free.

Labels, wood wool and packaging rope are all made from recycled material. Ink is environmentally friendly

Giselle Habraken learned the craft of candle making in Sunset Park, New York City. Back in the Netherlands she missed making candles. And that is why she started her own label Brandt candles in 2015. Giselle would like to reacquaint you with the craft and purity of sustainably produced candles.
