Olive soap is very mild due to the high percentage of oleic (oleic acid) in olive oil. As a result, it foams flat without large bubbles and cares for your skin, it has a moisturizing and soothing effect. Olive oil has been saponified for thousands of years.

Werfzeep saponifies the extra virgin olive oil from the Palestinian Canaan Fair Trade, located in Jenin, on the West Bank. Canaan unites small-scale olive farmers who are cut off from the world and thus guarantees an income. And offers support throughout the production process: ecological management of the olive groves, central processing of the olives, bottling and sales worldwide.

Werfzeep olive soap is very suitable for sensitive skin. The soap contains no essential oils, which is nice if you don't like strong scents or are allergic to most essential oils. Due to the cold pressing of olives and the cold stirring (seething happens below 40ºC) of the soap, all the good properties of olives are present in the soap.

Soap made from 100% olive oil and nothing else needs a long aging time. Where the other Werfzepen are ready for use after a month of ripening, this soap ripens for more than eight months. After this period, the soap is nice and hard and yellow-green in color.
